You walk into the tower that once housed the captain of the guards, along with weapon and equipment storage.

Equipment
You see a lot of old equipment here, but not all of it is rusty. There are bows and crossbows at the ready, in case the outer door should need defending. The arrow loops in the wall provide a clean shot at anyone standing in front of the front doors. This has never happened since you or any of the other students have been here, and you can’t imagine it ever happening. Thorendor is far from any city and is tucked away in a forest in the foothills of the mountains.

Desk
You see some papers are still on the desk where the captain of the guards once organized the defenses. Marlan has told you that guards have not been employed at Thorendor since he has lived at the castle. There has been no need for them. And here these schematics and plans remain, covered in dust. Some of the drawings you recognize as some type of machines, but you’ve never seen such things in the castle. You wonder…
